The new fan series is based on more than 30 years of experience gained in the design and manufacture of fans for use in cutting-edge agricultural applications.
How it works
The Euroemme MFS fan is designed to meet the demands of livestock cooling and ventilation in open structures by fulfilling two main objectives: The first is to circulate air within livestock structures to maintain an acceptable air quality. The second is to create a wind chill effect over the animals to ensure sufficient heat removal from their skins.
Achieving these functions can be a noisy business due to the ventilation process, but the MFS fan series, which has been optimised with top aerodynamic performance, operates with minimal noise, avoiding unnecessary stress on livestock.
High airflow, air speed and efficiency at low noise level
With the aid of an on-site test chamber, Munters’ design engineers have managed to achieve a well-balanced combination of high airflow, air speed and efficiency, together with a low noise level.
Additional MFS features include a statically and dynamically balanced propeller; a cast aluminium propeller hub offering the best possible protection of bearings; oversized and permanently sealed bearings for a long and trouble-free service life; a belt drive for lowering propeller speed and thereby reducing noise; and a high performance electrical motor.
In the new fan series, both the propeller and the motor are mounted onto a horizontal central support bar. The fan mounting points are located on the ends of this support bar ensuring that the fan is mounted close to its centre of gravity, to eliminate any undue stress on the fan housing. This design also places the motor directly into the air stream, to provide ample cooling and ensure a long and trouble-free motor life.
Innovation of more effective cooling
An innovative tilting bracket, incorporated into the fan mounting kits, has also been developed for the Euroemme MFS fan. This ensures easy and accurate tilting of fans, to help direct airflow and make cooling more effective.
